I’m Dalton Rucker, born and raised in Murfreesboro. Before I started this company I worked overnight-shift logistics at the distribution warehouses along the I-24 corridor — the kind of job where you learn fast which streets a 26-foot truck can actually turn onto, and which ones it can’t.
Working nights also showed me something the moving industry mostly ignores: a huge share of this county needs help on evenings and weekends, not during a Tuesday lunch break. In 2013 I put together a crew and built Midnight Movers around exactly that gap, and the name is a nod to those overnight years that got the whole thing started.
The crew has grown to 18 total, with 14 running moves day to day on our own trucks. Renee Boswell runs the office — scheduling, COIs, billing, the whole front end. Jarrod Kellum dispatches the daily truck board across Rutherford County. On the crew side, Wyatt Sledge leads our downtown-square and tight-stairwell jobs, Trey Overby runs the long-haul lane up and down the I-24 corridor, and Dallas Prentiss owns the MTSU move-in/move-out crush every May and August — he plans staffing for it months ahead.
