Most of what we haul stays inside Rutherford County — a two-bedroom off Broad Street, a family leaving one of the newer subdivisions out toward Smyrna, a downtown loft above the square with a staircase built before anybody thought about moving a couch through it. Every quote gets written down before the truck leaves our lot — no re-negotiating in your driveway once the boxes are loaded. That includes blankets, dollies, and shrink-wrap; none of it shows up as a surprise line item later.
The downtown-square factor
A good chunk of our local calls come from the blocks ringing the Rutherford County Courthouse square — brick buildings from a much older era, with alley-only loading and stairwells that were never built with a queen mattress in mind. Our crew chief Wyatt Sledge runs most of those jobs personally; he’s learned which buildings need the shorter dolly and which ones need a plan sketched out the night before.
On the other end of town, we’re seeing more I-24 corridor subdivision moves every year as families relocate from Nashville, Franklin, and Brentwood into newer construction here. Different problem entirely — wide driveways, three-car garages, and a lot more boxes than the downtown jobs.
Why evenings and weekends matter here
We started scheduling this way because our founder, Dalton Rucker, spent years running overnight logistics along the I-24 distribution corridor and knew firsthand that half the county works shifts that don’t line up with a 9-to-5 moving company. So we built ours around evening and weekend availability at no overtime surcharge — a Saturday move costs exactly what a Tuesday move costs.
We run under a Tennessee Public Utility Commission household-goods permit, with US DOT and MC authority on file, and every truck carries up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage per shipment.
